She has mysterious superpowers, and tries to do the right thing in a world of wrong. Netflix

Neo is the ultimate Elser! He is the outsider who learns the world is round when everyone thinks its flat. His truth scares people who are comfortable with the status quo, and impassions people who are willing to believe the status quo is a soul-sucking prison. Elsers may be reclusive by nature, but if called to the hero's path, many, I think, would go.  We believe in the quest! The quest for knowledge and wisdom. The quest for a better tomorrow. The quest to become the hero of our own story.  We should all study Neo. We can learn a lot from him.

Both Bo and Kenzi are Elsewhere Girls for different reasons, but when it comes right down to it, all the main characters on this show are Elsers. Even though the show is not "Airing" any longer, you can catch episodes on Netflix. Well worth a look!

Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all powerful Elsers, of course, but the wonderful thing about this series is that the teachers are Elsers too! Even Dumbledore himself was an Elser!
A great "fish-out-of-water" Elser story with lots of fun mixed in.
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and it's popular spin-off "Angel" are both filled with awesome Elsers.  
Fun tidbit: Buffy's town, Sunnydale, was shot in my neighborhood, her house is on my street, and her high school is... yep my alma mater. 
Great Elser book. Also made into a movie called "The Mighty"
Three Elsewhere Girls living in the same house, all trying to make sense of their lives and get along in the process. Classic Elser situations and challenges, including. 
This is one of my favorite Elser books! It is superbly written and perfectly paced. It is set in a post-apocalyptic-ish future where the world has been divided into the 'haves' and the 'have-nots', but there is so much more to it than that! You will just have to read it and see.
